Mangrove forests tourism is an attractive eco-travel for eco-tourists. Not many people know that mangroves play the important role in the preservation and protection of coastal ecology. Moreover, the resources that the mangrove ecosystem offers could be great assistance to the development of livelihoods for local communities. They are the nurseries for many species of the reef. Reef fish and other animals lay their eggs among the mangroves. The hatchlings are washed out to sea by the floods in the rainy season. The mangrove is also a good natural filter of impurities in water including absorb the large amounts of carbon in its roots.
THE PROJECT “RESTORATION MANGROVE PROJECT” IN PHUKET, THAILAND
Because mangroves are the main factor of biodiversity and human activities, Ban Bang Rong Agrotourism Group, Phaklog sub-district and Planete Mer launched the project “restoration mangrove project” which is aimed to preserve marine life and the livelihoods for local communities at Ban Bang Rong, T.Phaklog, Thalang district, Phuket province.
The project will be held to share experiences and promote reforestation of the coastal management in order to preserve the biodiversity of coastal area. Have you ever hear about “organic egg”, “free range egg”, “organic free range egg”?
Organic Eggs are eggs produced by hens that are fed special organic feed. Most organic eggs usually come from chickens that are not given hormones, don’t get prophylactic antibiotics (to prevent infection), and who eat feed that is grown organically. This means the feed they eat usually isn’t treated with chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
Free Range Eggs are eggs produced from hen that are not given hormones, prophylactic antibiotics, no additive are fed to enhance yolk color. Hens are permitted to roam freely within the farmyard. Hens live in a natural environment and have a freedom to walk, flap their wings, run, scratch in the sun, breathe clean air and lay egg in the nest and kept indoors (sheds or henhouses) at night. Free range system is good for hens, gives hens no stress and discomfort. Thus, when free of stress and discomfort, hens have a good health, no need to feed antibiotics. You can eat healthy eggs from healthy hens plus no chemical, hormone and antibiotics.
