iCare Thailand distributed aid packages to over 200 families affected by severe flooding at Uttaradit, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Sawan province. The aid packages included: rice, canned sardines, vegetable oil, fish sauce, instant noodles, soap, toothpaste, tissue, salted eggs, and bananas. The families with small children also received a package of diapers and toys.

Two months of heavy rains have caused the worst flooding in Thailand for 50 years, affecting 30 of the 77 provinces and threatening many more. Downpours are expected to continue with further flooding anticipated and many areas are on alert, including parts of Bangkok. Thousands of people have been forced from their homes and many more are expected to be evacuated.
In Pathum Thani province, north of Bangkok, Thammasat University is being used as a temporary shelter. It is currently housing 1600 evacuees but is expected to reach maximum capacity, 2000 people, as evacuations continue. Many of those arriving at the university have lost, or been forced to abandon, all their belongings and are in urgent need of basic essential items.

เครือข่ายวิทยุร่วมด้วยช่วยกัน ลงพื้นที่มอบสิ่งของพร้อมตั้งโรงครัวช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุทกภัยที่อยุธยาและนครสวรรค์
วันที่ 12 ตุลาคม 2554 เครือข่ายวิทยุร่วมด้วยช่วยกัน ร่วมกับ ดีแทค, กลุ่มบริษัทเบญจจินดา, กลุ่มออฟโรด และ อาสาสมัคร ลงพื้นที่มอบถุงยังชีพช่วยเหลือพี่น้องที่กำลังประสบอุทกภัยในพื้นที่ จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา โดยเดินทางลงพื้นที่อย่างต่อเนื่องทุกวันตั้งแต่วันพุธที่ 12 ต.ค. 2554 ที่ผ่านมา (ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ก็มีการลงพื้นที่ช่วยเหลือมาโดยตลอดแล้ว) ซึ่งนอกจากจะลงไปมอบสิ่งของแล้ว ยังได้ลงไปตั้งโรงครัวเพื่อประกอบอาหารแจกจ่ายให้กับผู้ประสบภัยในศูนย์ช่วยเหลือที่ทางการจัดไว้ให้ด้วย
นอกจากทางส่วนกลางที่เดินทางลงพื้นที่ใน จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยาแล้ว สถานีวิทยุเครือข่ายร่วมด้วยช่วยกันใน 2 จังหวัดภาคเหนืออย่าง จ.เชียงราย และ จ.พิษณุโลก ยังได้ยกทีมเดินทางลงมาตั้งโรงครัวประกอบอาหารเลี้ยงผู้ประสบภัยที่ศูนย์ช่วยเหลือในสนามกีฬากลาง จ.นครสรรค์ ตั้งแต่เมื่อวันพุธที่ 12 ต.ค. 54 ที่ผ่านมาด้วยเช่นกัน

After heavy floods were triggered in late June in Thailand caused by typhoon Haima and tropical storm Nock-Ten, more than 210 people have been killed and over 2.4 million people across the country have been affected by the flooding including in central, northern and northeastern provinces.
The Thai Red Cross Society, through its chapters and health stations has carried out distribution of relief goods in 29 provinces as well as deployment of 6 flat bottom boats in 8 affected provinces. Moreover, three water purification teams have been active, along with mobile kitchen teams with the capacity to produce 6,000 meals/day. As of 7 October, 93,482 relief kits and 84,569 packs of drinking water have been distributed to the victims.
